Welcome to Full Throttle Detailing! My passion for automotive detailing began in 2016 when I purchased a brand-new Volkswagen Polo GTI. Determined to keep it looking pristine, I delved into the art of detailing, learning from YouTube videos, online forums and plenty of trial and error. My dedication paid off, as my Polo consistently turned heads and received compliments for its showroom-level finish.
About Full Throttle Detailing

Diving into the unchartered waters of Machine Polishing
In January 2018, I decided to take my skills to the next level. Armed with an Argos special dual-action polisher and a second-hand VW Polo bonnet from a breaker’s yard (which I somehow fit into the back of my polo!), I tackled my first major paint correction project. Despite my initial nerves, I successfully restored the heavily swirled and hazed paint and this hands-on experience fuelled my confidence and passion for detailing.

First Professional Endeavours
By April 2018, I took on my first detailing project: a local Polo 6R/6C Owners Club member’s Volkswagen Polo that had been neglected under a tree and covered in tree sap. After a thorough deep clean, decontamination and multi-stage polish, the car looked stunning and went on to win an award at a car show—a testament to the transformative power of proper detailing.
A Passion That Never Fades
Over the years, my enthusiasm for detailing only grew. Every car I owned—whether a sporty hatchback, a powerful coupe, or even a company SUV—received meticulous care. Detailing became a ritual whenever I purchased a new vehicle, dedicating weekends to deep cleaning, paint correction and sealing the paintwork to make it easier to maintain.

Expanding into Motorcycle Detailing
In 2023, I added motorcycles to my repertoire after purchasing a Honda CB125R and later a CB650R after passing my test. Detailing bikes introduced unique challenges, from safeguarding exposed electrics to carefully degreasing, lubricating and adjusting chains. These experiences enhanced my skills and broadened my expertise.
